A married female prison guard in the UK has been sentenced to 15 months in prison after it was revealed she engaged in inappropriate relationships with several male inmates.

Linda De Sousa Abreu, 30, from Fulham, faced her sentencing at Isleworth Crown Court on Monday. Half of her sentence will be served on license following her admissions about three separate incidents involving a convicted burglar.
During the proceedings, Judge Martin Edmunds KC disclosed that one of the interactions was recorded on an unauthorized mobile device by a fellow inmate. He pointed out that Abreu admitted to two additional encounters with the same burglar, one of which was accidentally documented by her prison-issued body camera.

Judge Edmunds remarked, “One incident involved sexual acts with the same inmate during separate occasions on the same day, partially captured by your body-worn camera by accident.” He also noted that there had been a previous sexual encounter with this individual.
The judge stressed that these actions reflected a pattern of behavior rather than being isolated incidents. While the specifics of the first offense remain vague, it is believed that the incidents took place within a short time frame of each other.
