“No one wants to help Speed Darlington” – Lawyer cries out

Stan Alieke Speed Darlingtons attorney has voiced his displeasure with the Nigeria police’s ongoing detention of the singer in spite of a high court order that granted him bail.

In an Instagram video Alieke outlined the difficulties in obtaining his clients’ release and attacked the police for disobeying the court order.

Stan went on to mention the difficulties he had winning over Nigerians who openly claimed that Speed Darlington deserved a taste of his poison for constantly disparaging people’s reputations and personalities.

He also bemoaned the absence of assistance from people in positions of authority drawing a comparison to an earlier instance in which Burna Boy stepped in.

“Yesterday makes it 31 days since he has been in detention. People are saying stop the emotional blackmail; why don’t you advise your client. Let’s move on from that because those things are nonsense; it could be you,” Alieke said.

“I’ve exhausted my connections; no one wants to help Speed Darlington. The first time he was arrested, Burna Boy showed up with his team and handed out bundles of cash to the police officers,” he revealed.

Questions concerning adherence to legal procedures and the difficulties people encounter in pursuing justice are brought up by the extended detention.
