A Nigerian social media user has sent tongues wagging on social media after making an assertion about parents and their children’s marriage.
The man identified as Agba John Doe took to his Twitter account to point out to parents that their children will never stay with them forever as they will also have to live their lives elsewhere when they become adults.
John Doe described children as ‘visitors’ living in their parents home, therefore he urged parents to psyche themselves up for that moment when it happens.
His tweet sparked an avalanche of mixed reactions from other X users with some vehemently disagreeing with his assertion.
”Your children are “visitors” in your marriage.
Love, raise and care for them whilst they’re still visiting.
They’ll eventually leave you.
Only you, and your wife will remain.
If you marry the wrong wife, she too will abandon you, & leave with your children.
End.”
