Nigeria Chief of Defense Staff advises Nigerians to learn combat skills for self defense

General Christopher Musa, Nigeria’s Chief of Defence Staff, has called on all Nigerians to acquire combat skills to protect themselves amid rising insecurity across the country.

In an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, General Musa emphasized the importance of self-defense training.

He revealed that in Europe, swimming, learning, and teaching about security are compulsory because everyone needs to know what it means.

When asked why terrorist attacks and kidnappings are still ongoing after the president promised to curb them, General Musa defended that no country in the world is totally safe.

He also stated that although Nigerians feel otherwise, there has been a lot of improvement in security since President Tinubu took over.

During the interview, the General stated that security is everyone‘s social responsibility and that everyone should play their role in it.

He elaborated on the weak infrastructures that allowed people to enter the country without proper background checks and how such things weaken the system.
