Russia President, Vladimir Putin made his first appearance in the United States of America after staykng clear of the country for almost a decade.
Putin, who last visited the US in 2015 arrived in the country on Friday, August 15. The President arrived at the airport in Alaska.

Putin landed at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Alaska in his Russian Air Force IL-96-300PU jet.
Putin arrived at the same time as Donald Trump at the airport. Both presidents got out of their planes simultaneously.

Trump welcomed Putin on the red carpet. The historic moment was marked with a handshake as they shared a smile too.
As part of his welcoming, B-2 Stealth Bomber and F-22 fighter jets buzz the Russian president as he walks the red carpet alongside Trump.

Both Presidents left the airport for the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage, Alaska in Trump’s limousine, known as “The Beast” while they were seen chatting.
Both presidents later addressed the press at the Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson in Anchorage before the Trump-Putin summit began.
