Russia intercept a Ukraine drone targeting St Petersburg

A Ukrainian drone has reportedly been intercepted over St. Petersburg by the  Russian military.

An X user, Lord Bebu shared a video of the moment with Russian defenses engaging the drone, creating a dramatic scene in the skies above the city.

No further details on damage or any  casualties were provided to the public in the X posts.

But then This incident aligns with previous Ukrainian drone activities in the region, such since their war begun.

There was previously a drone attack on an oil depot in St. Petersburg, where a Ukrainian-made drone traveled 1,250 km to strike its target.

Earlier last year also, it was reported that an incident occured where a drone crashed into a residential building, causing damage but no fatalities.

These happenings highlight Ukraine’s increasing use of long-range drones to target Russian infrastructure.

The world however hopes the two countries can find an agreement soon to put a stop the alarming tension between them.
