Guinean musician, Elie Kamano is in Burkina Faso to launch his song dedicated to the AES and Ibrahim Traore.

Guinean reggae artist and pan-Africanist Elie Kamano is back in Burkina Faso to meet president Captain Ibrahim Traore.

Recalled that the musician was in Burkina Faso back in 2024 to launch an album titled “Soutien à l’AES,”.

The album was specifically dedicated to the Alliance des États du Sahel (AES), comprising Burkina Faso, Mali, and Niger.

The 18-track album, presented during a press conference in Ouagadougou on August 27, 2024, supports the AES countries’ fight against imperialism and promotes African unity.

Kamano performed the album’s title track “AES,” honoring AES leaders Abdourahamane Tiani, Assimi Goïta, and Ibrahim Traore.

The album, sold on USB drives for 5,000 FCFA, reflects his long-standing pan-Africanist commitment, inspired by his previous visits to Burkina Faso since.

Today he arrived in the West African country again June to present his single “IB Kouman,” a tribute to President Ibrahim Traoré, and requested Burkinabè citizenship.
