TikTok star Khaby Lame detained by ICE for overstaying his visa

World’s most-followed TikTok creator Khabane “Khaby” Lame, was detained by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) on June 6, 2025, at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas, Nevada, for immigration violations.

According to an ICE spokesperson, Lame, a 25-year-old Italian citizen born in Senegal, entered the United States on April 30, 2025, and overstayed the terms of his visa.

Lame was granted voluntary departure on the same day and has since left the country, avoiding formal deportation proceedings.

According to reports, conservative influencer Bo Loudon reported the TikToker to ICE, alleging the influencer had overstayed an “invalid visa.”

Loudon shared a screenshot purportedly from ICE’s detainee locator website, though Lame’s name did not appear in the public database, raising initial skepticism.

ICE later confirmed the detention to multiple outlets, clarifying that Lame was briefly held and allowed to leave voluntarily.

Lame, known for his silent, humorous videos mocking overly complicated life hacks, has not publicly addressed the incident.

However, he is still active on social media. On June 7, Lame posted a photo from what appeared to be Venice Beach on Instagram Stories and a TikTok video, suggesting he was no longer in custody.
