“Visit Lagos and Ghana before you make an opinion about Africa” – Tems

Nigerian music sensation Temilade Openiyi, professionally known as Tems, has encouraged foreigners to visit Africa before drawing any conclusion about the continent.

In a recent interview, Tems addressed the issue of foreigners having a prejudicial sentiment about Africa being underdeveloped and ruined.

She told the press that Africa has much more to offer and is an exciting place to travel and experience while citing Nigeria and Ghana as examples.

“I always encourage people to go to Lagos, Ghana, and just do a vacation,” Tems told the interviewer at the Met Gala.

“Just go see for yourself and experience before you make an opinion, before you have a conclusion in your mind,” she continued.
