“Ibrahim Traore is popular but he is a bad man, he doesn’t like criticism” – Foreign journalist claims

A foreign journalist by the name Sheriff Bojang Jr, has criticized Captain Ibrahim Traore, saying he is not as good as projected by the media.

According to him, Burkina Faso’s ruler, Ibrahim Traore, has gained popularity and a strong populist image.

However, he alleges that this comes at a significant cost, particularly for journalists, activists, and citizens who dare to question his rule.

Bojang stated that although Traore is doing well by reducing ministerial salaries and increasing civil servant wages, he failed to address the country’s major issues in terms of security and governance.

He also alleged that journalists are increasingly facing online abuse, with rights groups warning of a concerning rise in censorship and intimidation.
