President Donald Trump has announced plans to rename significant historical dates to celebrate the United States’ contributions to the victories in World War I and World War II.
The president suggested the existing holiday for celebrating World War I on May 8th be renamed Victory Day for World War II while suggesting November 11th as Victory Day for World War I.

President Trump emphasized the United States’ key role in achieving these victories, asserting that “we did more than any other Country, by far, in producing a victorious result on World War II.”
He praised the nation’s strength, bravery, and military brilliance, claiming that “nobody was close to us” in these qualities during the wars.
The President suggested that the lack of celebration in recent times stems from a deficit in leadership, stating, “That’s because we don’t have leaders anymore, that know how to do so!”
He expressed a renewed commitment to honoring these achievements, declaring, “We are going to start celebrating our victories again!”
