In a peaceful and short protest, Burkinabè nationals residing in Ghana burned the flags of the United States and France.
Burkinabè nationals gathered outside the Burkina Faso Embassy in Ghana to protest alleged imperialist plots against President Ibrahim Traoré.

Demonstrators burned U.S. and French flags, signaling growing anti-Western sentiment amid Burkina Faso’s pivot toward Russian partnerships following the 2022 coup
The short protest was against what they described as imperialist forces allegedly plotting to target President Ibrahim Traoré.
Since he came into power, forces from the West have tried to eliminate Ibrahim Traore. This is deemed part of their scheme to regain control of the country and its resources.

Currently, Traore has survived about 18 alleged assassination attempts.
