Ugandan president, Yoweri Museveni has revealed that he will be running for anorther term in the next General election.
The 80-years-old made an interesting revelation that he initially planned to retire from politics this year but that won’t be happening anymore.

According to him, Ugandans are forcing him to run for Presidency again next year, and he does not in anyway want to disrespect his people and therefore, he will be on the ballot.
This was made known in an X post by African Hub.
Museveni is the ninth president of Uganda. He has been in office since 1986 and per recent revelation, would likely add some more term to it.

As of 2025, Museveni is the third-longest consecutively serving current non-royal national leader in the entire world.
Uganda is currently making plans to hold anorther general elections, scheduled for 12 January 2026 where citizens would be given the chance to vote to choose their leaders for the next five years.
