President Donald Trump does not seem to have turned down the idea of running for a third term although it is against the constitution.
The Trump Organization’s online store has begun selling “Trump 2028” hats and T-shirts, which has sparked speculation about the President possibly running for a third term.

The merchandise that went online in April is sold at $50 and $36 for the hat and T-shirt respectively.

These items, marketed with phrases like “Make a statement” and initially “Rewrite the Rules,” resemble Trump’s iconic “Make America Great Again” hats.

Although it is against the U.S. Constitution’s 22nd Amendment, Trump has been teasing and fancying the idea of running for a third term in office.
In a March 2025 NBC News interview, Trump said he was “not joking” about a third term, claiming “there are methods which you could do it,” such as a scenario where Vice President J.D. Vance runs as the 2028 presidential candidate with Trump as his running mate, only for Vance to resign post-election, allowing Trump to assume the presidency.
However, Trump later downplayed these comments, stating it was “far too early to think about it.”
