If you are looking for a new sport to catch on or have fun with then you might just be in for a new thrill with this one.
On April 25, 2025, Los Angeles will host a groundbreaking event at the Hollywood Palladium: the world’s first sperm race, organized by startup Sperm Racing.
The event, pitting sperm samples from UCLA and USC against each other, is expected to draw 5,000 spectators.
Utilizing a microscopic racetrack designed to mimic the female reproductive system, high-resolution cameras will track sperm motility in real-time, with live commentary and on-site betting adding to the spectacle.
Backed by $1 million in funding from venture firms like Karatage and Figment Capital, Sperm Racing aims to raise awareness about the global decline in male fertility, which has dropped by over 50% in the last 50 years.

The event blends entertainment with education, featuring expert panels, fertility screenings, and proceeds supporting reproductive health research.
Organizers hope to make male fertility a measurable, engaging topic, encouraging healthier lifestyles to combat issues like stress, poor diet, and smoking.
