In a quest to cleanse the cities and towns, one step taken is to clear these busy places from cattle that share space with humans.
The mayor of the Kumasi, Richard Ofori Agyeman Boadi, has extended a stern warning to herdsmen who leave their cattle rallying the streets of Kumasi.

In an interview, Richard warner that all strayed cattle seen in the city will be killed and fed to prisoners inside the Kunasi Central Prison.
“If you’re a cattle owner and you have cattle, and your cattle stray into the domain of KMA be rest assured that from the 1st of May, those cattle will be killed and given to the Kumasi central prison for feeding. Especially the area from the airport leading up to Manhyia.”
“I cannot sit here and let visitors get to this beautiful airport, and when they are driving to Manhyia all they encounter is feces from cattle,” he told the press.
Herdsmen in most parts of Ghana are used to moving their herd even in traffic, sometimes causing a jam. All efforts by authorities to address this have proved futile.
