Burkina Faso’s rise continues and the country is gearing up towards becoming West Africa’s leading processed meat exporter.

This development according to a publication on X by African Hub could be achieved by Burkina Faso when they establish a new state slaughterhouse agency called Faso Yaar.
The Council of Ministers adopted a decree establishing the Faso Slaughterhouse Agency.
According to Minister DICKO, this agency will be responsible for “centralizing and professionalizing the management of national and regional slaughterhouses”
It will also overseas modernizing infrastructure to align them with health and environmental standards, and developing integrated logistics for livestock supply and product distribution.”
The creation of the Faso Slaughterhouse Agency aims to make Burkina Faso a country that exports meat, rather than live animals.
