The Achimota Circuit Court has granted bail of GH¢100k to NPP activist Mohammed Zakou.
He allegedly spread false information about Vice President Prof. Naana Jane Opoku-Agyemang’s health on Facebook.

Mohammed was arrested a day ago after his name became a trend on social media over an alleged Facebook post.
In his post, he shared details of the Vice president’s health and alleged that she passed away.
Many called for his arrest and the security agencies acted swiftly to locate and pick him up for questioning.
His arrest sparked anorther heated debate on social media between the supporters of the NPP and NDC.
“You posted false information speculating the supposed death of a whole Vice president that’s still alive, you’re arrested and people think it’s wrong? You and your whole supporters are wrong! This season we won’t allow anyone peddle false info for “propaganda” sake o” Erskine Whyte wrote
“Then Sam George would have been in Jail as we speak because a lot of information he published mostly on X were all false.” Zingi man wrote
