Practicing lawyer and CEO of Slash Beauty, Sasha Sahnoon has shared the inspirational feat behind the drive to start her own lashes brand.
In an interview on The Peswa podcast, Sasha shared her story of how she almost went blind from using lashes to creating a safer, better lash brand of her own.
The idea to start her own business came after her first experience with eye lashes in 2016 when she was studying in the UK.

According to her, she first tried eye lashes in 2016 while she was studying in the UK. She saw a lot of girls putting it on and ordered a pack online so she tries it too.
Unfortunately for her, the liquid from the glue seeped into her eyes which caused her to go blind for about two weeks.
“I could still feel like my eyes have just been irritated. And then as the day progressed it felt like there was a little pebble in my eyes,” Sasha explained.

So I was wondering what was going on and by the time I realized my eyes were burning. So I was like temporarily blind for like two weeks,” she told the interviewer.

Sasha also revealed that her mission is to become the Fenty Beauty of Africa.
