The Ministry of Sports and Recreation, led by Kofi Adams, has inaugurated a seven-member Committee of Inquiry to investigate the death of Nigerian boxer Gabriel Oluwasegun Olanrewaju.

The Nigerian boxer collapsed in an unfortunate incident during a bout at the Bukom Boxing Arena in Accra.
The incident happened on March 29, 2025, and he was later pronounced dead at Korle-Bu Teaching Hospital.
It was an unfortunate moment at the Boxing Arena where the Nigerian boxer passed away.

There have been injuries and other happenings in the boxing ring but it is rare to see what happened that day.
The federation and other authorities have promised to do everything possible to get to the root of the incident.
