The day is now associated with Cupid, the Roman god of love, who encourages romantic feelings, leading to behaviors that may not be good for society.
Ighele is calling on authorities to ban the celebration, as he believes it has a negative effect on young people.
He stresses the importance of promoting positive values and urges the government, churches, schools, and families to join forces in addressing this issue.
Ighele is convinced that banning Valentine’s Day celebrations could shield society from destructive behaviors.
