Donald Trump claims he does not view vice president JD Vance as his successor for the 2028 presidential election

President Donald Trump has said that he does not view his vice president JD Vance as his successor for the 2028 election. Trump declined to endorse Vance.

During his his interview with Bret Baier,, which was aired on Sunday, February 10, Trump was asked, “Do you view Vice President JD Vance as your successor, the Republican Nominee in 2028?”

Trump answered with a firm no. He said, “No, but he is very capable. I mean I don’t think that it you know, I think you have a lot of capable people. So far, I think that he’s doing a fantastic job.

He also made reference to the fact that there may also be a possibility for Vance to be the successor. “It’s too early, we’re just starting,” he stated.

Bret agreed with his statement but followed up saying “But by the time you get to the midterms, he’s going to be looking for endorsement.

Trump replied, “Yeah, a lot of people have said that this has been the greatest opening, almost three weeks in the history of the presidency.” Baier replied, “That’s probably been the fastest and the most stuff happening”.

“Well, we’ve done so much so fast. And we really had to because they’ve done to our country is so sad. It’s so sad. We’re going to be bigger, better, and stronger than ever before,” he concluded.

In another interview with Martha MacCullum on Monday on Fox News, Baier described Trumps answer as shocking.
