CEO of X (formerly Twitter) and SpaceX, Elon Musk, joined the US president at the White House for an interview on Government Efficiency Executive Order.

During the interview, a reporter questioned Musk on the information he had posted on X a while back about $50 million of condoms sent to Gaza. According to her, if Musk was wrong about that, it will questions if they could trust him.

“Mr Musk you said on X, that an example of prode that you have cited, was $50 million of condom was sent to Gaza, but after fact check this apparently Gaza in Mozambique and the program was to protect them against HIV,” she said

“So can you correct this statement that it wasn’t sent to Hamas actually and it was sent to Mozambique which makes sense why condoms was sent there. And how can we make sure that all the statement you said were correct so we can trust what you were saying? ” she continued asking.

In his reply Elon said not everything he says is correct and that everyone makes mistakes but they will work to correct every mistake as soon as possible.

“First of all, some of the things that I say will be incorrect and should be corrected. We will make mistakes, we will act quickly to correct mistakes,” Musk replied.

He also says that $50 million worth of condoms was a lot of money and he’s not sure Americans will be excited about that. He added that it’s not really bad that it went to Gaza in Mozambique instead of Gaza in Asia.

“I’m not sure we should be sending $50 million worth of condoms anywhere, frankly, I’m not sure that is something Americans will be really excited about that. That is really a numerous number of condoms. And yes if it went to Mozambique instead of Gaza it’s still not that bad,” he concluded
